Pelikan 140 Collection

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. In my ignorance, I had no idea there was the range of colours that people have mentioned.

I have a real soft spot for the 140 range: quality materials, built like a tank (so they clean up nicely), classic shape and design, and with lovely nibs (and modern enough that it uses a plastic piston seal, meaning you don't have to worry about replacing the cork).

I'm increasingly of the view that they may well be the best bang for your buck with Pelikan, depending on where you get them.

I have a few of these, the black, reverse trim, red, green, blue and green stripe. I thought my next conquest would be the gray but quickly learned that these are not easy to come by, and the freight puts it out of my league. Then there is the Mother of Pearl, well beyond my reach.

 

But these are fun little pens.

Have a few black ones in my EDC kit, lovely pens (my favorites along with 100N). Would really love a MoP 140 but yeah... hens teeth and all that. But then again, just recently saw a post on FB from a guy who found a mint Pelikan 400 light tortoise set in the wild (flea market). So there is hope

Fun video. I love the 140. I only wish they were larger. They write as well as any of my pens. They are just too small to write with for long. I wouldn't part with them.

The 140 is my favorite Pelikan. I like it as is. You post it and it is not small. I particularly love the nibs on these.
