Those Yafa/Conklin brand-retread pens look like standard Yafa lower-end fare. The (probably Chinese made) barrel and cap are metal-based, and likely way too heavy (especially when posted!) The "new" Conklin All-American is a decent pen by comparison, but it seems to have been a lucky one-hit wonder. The Monteverde (another Yafa brand) Intima was close in quality and design to the Conklin All-American, but the horrible black coating on the section and furniture wears poorly, and that ruins the pen. As for Taccia, it seems (at least for now) they haven't been bought-out by Yafa. That's probably a good thing after seeing what came out of Stipula with Yafa; for example the Stipula Splash - what a horrific rip-off of a pen. The Splash is an expensive pig wearing lipstick - it's basically just a Pakistani or Indian school pen with a big price tag.
