Conway Stewart 524?

Has anyone heard of a Conway Stewart 524 Dinkie 'Rainbow'? Does this exist?

I don't see why there shouldn't be a CS 524 pen. It would most likely be from the "Dinkie" range of vest pocket/ handbag pens, and therefore could well have a multi colour pattern described as "Rainbow".

Didn't think there was a 524 series. Do you mean the 542??? It came in Peacock,or it might have been Pheasant, pattern.

Good call on the 542, which was certainly released in peacock.

 

It's still possible that there was a 524 Dinkie though.

Thank you MalcolmH for your welcome and suggestion to move this to another forum, I'll look to do this shortly. I'm asking as I have aquired a Conway Stewart pen and pencil set and have been told that it is a Dinkie 524 from the 1920's in 'Rainbow' colouring. That said I cannot find it under any internet source. I can't quite make out the etched detail on the barrel, probably due to years of use.

 

Sandy Fry - many thanks to you too but looking at images of the 542, this doesn't look to be the same model.

 

I'll look how to move this thread and how to add a photo...

Perhaps a 526 Dinkie in Harlequin..Peacock..Multi colored purple,red,black,blue..

or Seaweed green.

Andy, have you checked out the late Jonathan Donahaye's 'book of numbers'?

 

I'm sure you have. It's a great source of information, but the list isn't exhaustive. Every now and then, you see a model, or colour, which is not catalogued here.

 

Is there a chance of some good pictures of the pen?
