Pelikan launches the new M101N Bright Red Special Edition.

The fountain pen, which is described by the brand as a “masterpiece of elegance” featuring intense luminosity and a unique presence.” is a sensual continuance of successful models as M101N Tortoiseshell Brown, Lizard and Tortoiseshell Red.

High quality acrylic with a distinctive marbled pattern makes its vibrant red barrel cap and sleeve. The resin in both cap head and filling handle polishes as it is used making the Bright Red forever shiny.

The elegant marbling makes the perfect combination with its 24K trims.

Its 14K nib will be available in sizes EF, F, M and B. This Special Edition comes in a Limited Edition gift case including a 4001 ink in an historical design.

The edition will be available in March 2017!

Very interesting, thanks for putting this up. Has the price been determined yet?

This pen is somewhat reminiscent of the coral 101, although on this pen the solid red parts don't seem to contrast well with the marbled red barrel.

Looks nice, although I'd prefer this in green or blue.

As the pen is a bit small, I'm looking forward to the 2017 novelties in M600 or M800 size.

That looks nice. (Oh no! There was someone awhile back who was convinced I only bought red pens, when in fact I actually only have a few that are red or burgundy...).

Will the ink be available separately or just as part of this LE pack?

Sadly, the ink looks to be dreary old Konigsblau, but imagine Pelikan making a proper red ink ! Now that would be something.

Very tempting (But I can't justify any more pens!)

One does not simply justify more pens. One rationalizes them, using creative combinations of logical fallacies and denial of financial reality.

Trust me. I do this every day.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

By "justify", I meant "rationalise". I have so many pens that I can't even rationalise anymore and that bothers me!
