Azukiiro - Kyo-No-Oto

Kyo no Oto and Kyo Iro inks are carried at Wonderpens in Canada. Definitely not the cheapest of inks, but they're fascinating. I'm getting some samples shipped to me.

Very interesting ink! I don't know whether I see it correctly on my screen but it looks as if some your writing samples have a tiny sheen frame! I like this effect very much as it give this dim hue a modest touch of splendour. Up till know I didn't test this ink and this brand but it makes a very interesting appearance! So thank you for your great review!

I have just spent a day in business meetings in Taipei and managed to have a chance to visit T Y Lee, the famous pen shop in this city. They appear to stock all the Kyo Noto inks for Taiwanese $400, which is a very reasonable price. I expect they will ship consignments for overseas customers. I stocked up on two bottles of this Adzukiiro colour as I am a fan of any colour of the reddish-purple Amethyst variety.

This ink is available in the US from Vanness and Anderson Pens, though the latter is currently out of stock of a number of the Kyoto TAG inks.

Great review as always!

A really uncommon colour in my opinion. And really reminds me Adzuki beans!

Is that what red bean paste is made of? The color of the beans looks very close to the paste.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Yes, the adzuki marmelade (the one contained in the dorayaki) is made of those beans!
