Hello from the Pacific NW. The folks over at Goulet suggested I join and post my inquiry for help here. My daughter, pictured here with the fountain pen in question (she does princess parties and had just gotten done with one), gave me this great desk pen for Christmas. It's a really classy looking Parker that has local history as well. I believe it is a 45, but not positive of that. My other fountain pens are Shaeffers, Montblanc, and Monteverde. So this is my first parker.

My question is whether I could use the Parker Twist Cartridge Converter with this pen? Would love to be able to use it...so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. It would take both the Parker squeeze as well the modern Parker piston converter.

And you are right the desk pen is a P45. Congrats. Enjoy the beautiful gift from your daughter.

Thanks Donor. Will order that converter and put this back into operation. Much appreciated!

And don't forget, in the meantime, you can refill the existing cartridge with a syringe. What a cool gift, lucky Dad!

Nice desk pen. The base is beautiful also. Nice and rounded edges.

You will probably be happiest with a converter, but those cartridges are still available - it takes standard Parker cartridges.

Cartridges really only come in useful if you refill on the move, which probably won't happen much with a desk pen :D

I love the pen by the way - your daughter has excellent taste.
