Akkerman #5 Shocking Blue

I loved the color and sheen of this one and Majestic Blue. Both gave me trouble. Sadly my pens did not like the ink after a few days. The pens hard started and got some sheen particles stuck in the feed. If the behavior of Shocking Blue had been good for me with no clogging...I would've bought a bottle eventually. Yes, I did shake the bottle gently before filling. I also tap on the feed and turn the feed up periodically while writing. Still had some minor issues. I decided to pass on both of the inks.

I remember using it in a Faber-Castell Loom. It was a broad that was ground to a broad cursive italic. I can't remember what other pen I used with it. I tried Shocking Blue in early spring.

A Loom is my EDC, I carry it around in my bag and it's inked up with Shocking Blue. Last week I picked it up after not having used it for nearly 2 months. Not even a hard start. So it's definitely not the combination of pen and ink.

You do store your pens nib up?
