Azure 5 - Kwzi

As some of you may know Poland is one of biggest exporters of cosmetics, furniture and fruits. But we also have inks. Or, to be more precise, one ink maker - KWZI. Konrad offers handmade inks in more than sixty colors. You can check his website here.

Azure 5 is one of five azure inks in KWZ line. It's a favourite of mine. The ink feels very smooth in both finer and broader nibs, it offers great lubracition and overall performance is rather satisfying. The thing that can be disturbing to some people is strong vanilla odour. Actually when you unpost the pen, sit straight and write you can still feel it even though the nib si more than 50 cm from your nose.

I haven't experienced any problems with this one.

First let's look at the bottle.

Wow -- you're getting some nice sheen there. (Great, swell, another one goes on the short list -- which is getting progressively longer.... I should just leave that file open on my desktop when I log into FPN.)

Thanks of the review. And not. I should not be looking at ink reviews when the temperatures are in the teens and the wind chills are in single digits....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Well, it really is cool color. I rarely use blue but when I do I fill pens with J. Herbib Eclat de Saphire, KWZI Azure 5 or Robert Oster Blue Night (for blue/black). I guess I don't really need other blue inks although I'm always eager to try new things and discover some unknown gems :) These three are fine and I tend to come back to them from time to time.

Those are some pretty sheens. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
