Wonderful looking pen Dorf. I have to admit that when I've seen photos of the Roadster online I've never liked the look of the round jewel on the top... but your photos show it in a much better light, and I'm impressed.

I have a few Cartiers and the quality, feel, and aesthetics are all, as you've noted, superb. Enjoy your new pen. And thanks for the photos.

Thanks Dennis! Agreed, it looks much better in real life. Ever since I saw this pen at Harrods in September last year, I just couldn't get it out of my mind :)

-Which Cartier pens do you have?

I have a couple of the Pashas, in the flat-top version (I think there was a cigar shape as well): a black and silver fp/bp set, and a black fp with a platinum cap. I used to own a betal bp (I honestly can't remember if it was silver or platinum), but I had to sell it. It looked lovely (it had a fine pattern on it, so it wasn't a shocking reflective steel hue), but I found that after using it for a half a day, it became uncomfortable, and I would always switch to something different. And eventually I used it less and less... But the resin models have been great.

Yeah.. Sometimes you have to use the pen for a while to see if it fits your hand. I'm excited about this Roadster pen, because it's more heavy than the Meisterstück Classique that I'm used to.
