Playing Around With Macro And Pens

Trying to establish a little bit photography as a hobby I tried out the macro mode on my camera. Think I will do some more in the future. Got some lenses too.

took these shots today with my iphone 7plus and a "moment" macro attachment.

 

a pilot "two cranes" maki-e in non-macro mode:

 

 

and then

 

 

 

here's a sheaffer royal selangor pen in pewter (as an asian, i love anything bamboo):

 

 

 

 

and an onoto heritage pen, showing harry simpole's hallmark on the silver filigree cap:

hi--no great secret, really, just an iphone, a macro attachment, good lighting, and a steady hand

there are a lot of macro attachments available (e.g., https://www.amazon.com/s?k=macro+lens+for+iphone+7+plus)

 

any pointers / advice?

just found out that by unsqueezing two fingers on the screen, you can go from 1x to 10x on an iPhone 7x. DOH!
