I am very excited about this ink. The color is great, plus I can get the sheen with a fine nib! The only drawback is that I did find it a bit hard to clean - I had to use cleaning solution to fully clear the pen. Otherwise, I love this ink.

Here's a shot of the sheen in an ink drop.

I tried to get a shot of the sheen in my writing, but it didn't work out very well. Cell phone + bad office lighting = hard to seen sheen.post-133331-0-17875400-1483464220_thumb.jpg

@Julia239 - let me start by saying your handwriting is dazzling. I envy you :) The review is excellent - it shows the ink in attractive way and contains all informations potential user would like to know. I do hope to see more ink reviews from you in the future. Stellar job, really.

As for the ink - it's not really my color. Sometimes I feel like trying something similar but on such rare ocasions I reach for Rohrer & Klingner Verdigris.

Thanks for the compliments, especially about my handwriting.

@visvamitra - I love your reviews! (Your comments when you don't like a color are particularly enjoyable.) I ordered some KWZ samples based on your reviews, and I'm trying them out now.

I have 5 samples, all standard (not iron gall): Thief's Red, Menthol Green, El Dorado, Honey, and Brown Pink. I did a quick dip test with all but the Brown Pink. My first impression is that El Dorado is very nice; the shading is incredible.

Julia, thank you for these wonderful contributions and I'm with Vis, GREAT handwriting.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
