Anyone Knows The Going Price And A Place To Find An 80's Century Fp?

My very first fountain was a Century black lacquer with gold accents that was a gift from my Father to me in 1986. I still keep the ballpoint and mechanical pencil that came with it, but so far, I've been unable to find a replacement fountain pen.

 

Went to see the current version, but it looks pretty crappy to me. I specially dislike the gold colored section. As such, I would like to know how expensive are they and if it's possible to find them.

I bought my first Century at a charity shop, and my second on FPN. After that I bought seven more on eBay. They are very easy to find on American eBay, at least; I haven't felt any need to look for them on related auction sites in other countries.

 

They are, to my mind, quite inexpensive in relation to their original prices and market position. Expect to pay more than $25, though not necessarily much more. Prices will be well under $100.

Been browsing the fleabay but so far, but all pens seem to be above the $100 mark. There are a couple of exceptions, both from India, but I've never bought anything from there. Has any of you?

Searching on "Cross fountain pen" just now, I found this:

and I am far from having gotten through all of today's search hits. One should not assume that anyone offering a Cross Century will know or state the model name. I got my Aurora Hastil at an excellent price because the seller advertised it as an Aurora fountain pen, not as a Hastil.

 

in general one should consider using the most inclusive search terms. Some of us go so far as to try possible misspellings.

 

PS: I stopped looking at $75, but there are five or six on eBay right now.

10 euros, por envío

Cross Century Original es muy difícil encontrarlos,

Los century que tiene Regina (I y II) están muy bien, de E$30 a E$60, dependiendo del modelo es buen precio,

I was looking for the exact pen name but most of the results were for Century II models. Your search however brought many interesting results, including one that is on auction now for $16. Thanks!!!

I bought two mint condition 14k gold body (one gold filled and the other rolled gold) century FP+BP sets for under $60 each. The gold filled is made in USA while the rolled gold is Irish make.

Search under Ebay for Cross fountain pen. Many sellers don't know it was called "Century" so if you use that search term, you will miss a lot of stuff.

 

I have bought two Centuries off Ebay, each for about $60. I already had the matte black, but I wanted the chrome and the gold to round out the set. They really are sleeper pens- very nice writers if you like slimmer pens (I do). The ballpoint versions are so common that people don't think twice when they see the fountain pen version so you don't have to endure a lot of stupid comments at meetings.
