I do wonder how these jumbo pens fare for long writing sessions with such a girthy grip. How is the PLP. Looks quite similar to some Gama pens

For me, the girth is not an issue within the context of long writing sessions, the KW Mammoth, e.g., has a long barrel that slightly back weights the pen, compounded by a big nib (~30mm exposed), this needs a little adjustment from my side. Although the exposed nib in a Namiki is ~32mm, they are better balanced IMHO.

The PLP is very good for long writing sessions, especially fitted with a #8 nib. Although PLP and GAMA look similar, they differ greatly in length weight and balance. I prefer PLP over GAMA. PLP pens are often light; the PLP Jumbo pen has a smaller ink reservoir (~3ml, the boring is not too deep), so there is zero burping. My GAMA pens, on the other hand, have huge burping issues, I still love them.

The oldest Kim ACR Jumbo pen in my collection. These older Kim Jumbos were built like a tank and are always a joy to write with.

When I was introduced to Kim pens, I guess only flat tops were available and the finish used to be a non glossy one. It wasn't brushed either. Suited me as I prefer only flattops.

Few more Enthusiasts who have both the Flat-top and Round-top variant tell me that they like the Flat-top one more 👍 I like the Round-top one the best. But don't understand why they stopped making the Flat-top Jumbo later.

I have one Round-top Jumbo in brushed/matte finish from Dr.SK. Later Mr.Rafi too sold some matte finish Jumbos. These brushed finished Jumbos are too hard to come across 😊

This week is Beena Lincoln picked up NOS from Fountain Pen India website a couple of years back when we went to India. Had not filled it yet. With Camlin Blue (new mix?).

Writes pretty smooth. Pen is slender and light. At times I feel I can write better with slender pens. But girthy pens are my weakness.

Currently inked: ASA Titanium

This pen was offered by ASA Pens in a group buy conducted in 2019. The pen originally came with a Titanium nib unit. I have replaced it with a Bock Steel nib unit.

Saw it now on their website. I had missed the NOS from ASA Pens some years back. When I saw it in 2023, did not wait.

The new is slightly different with gold band at the bottom of the barrel instead of the red and the top finial is also a bit different.

Currently inked: Kim ACR Jumbo

This was my first Kim Jumbo pen, and once I held it in my hand I knew I had found the perfect pen for me.

I have seen few Guider Zimbo in similar colour Sir. I guess it's easily available, but not many opt for it.

I recently acquired this new-old-stock (NOS) Guider, but do not know the model. The ebonite's colour is what captivated me.

Beautiful ebonite pattern 👍 Could be Guider Onyx, but I myself don't have much idea regarding it. If you hadn't mentioned the Guider name, I'd have assumed that it was made by Mr.Prabhakar(from Woodex) at some point.

The pen is unmarked and was represented as a Guider. Your comment gives something to consider given the vast difference between our experiences, not to say the FP was misrepresented (e.g., misidentified).

It could be a Guider, so as long as you like the pen I'd say there is nothing to worry about 👍 Many Indian penmakers offer similar models.

It's just that I found it very similar to this Woodex model 17. Will share a pic below.
