even Deccan can't recreate this masterpiece today. The Woodex 39 used to be a good substitute but even that has been killed by the tweaks to its design.

100% agree Sir. Not a fan of the current Woodex 39, or Deccan MP. Woodex should have left the model 39 as it is and perhaps made another model with their new design and 40mm nib unit.

Guider medium/large (not sure) acrylic. Eyedropper. With Sulekha swadhini green ink.

The colour of the pen is colloquially called paala pitta (Indian roller bird). From wikipedia—>”Adding its chopped feathers to fodder for cows was believed to increase the latter's milk yield, giving it the Teluguname of "paala-pitta" (పాలపిట్ట, pālapiṭṭa), meaning 'milk bird'.”

This has remained on the desk since Feb 2024, now that it is running low in ink, maybe I put it down for a little while. The only thing is wonder is, would it be better if the nib were pushed out a little maybe 35mm of nib exposed. I feel that aesthetically it better suits the pen, but in terms of comfort, I am not too sure. As it stands, at ~28mm nib leverage, it is super comfortable for my hand.

Did you grind this nib? Or Kanwrite. Because when I purchased, they did not offer these grinds?

Kanwrite offers them now. They grind both broad and medium, i have both, but their grind works better on broads. In my examples at least. Waiting for a bb now :)

Wonderful-looking pens, especially the Jumbo. I have another PLP Jumbo (eyedropper) on the way.

Have been eyeing these two since some time. Need to make to India to get them. I could get them shipped to UAE and I pay equal to another pen as shipping and UAE VAT apart from the IGST I will be charged by PLP. So just being patient till I go there next or my wife or someone coming over.

Im sure youll enjoy them greatly.

Maybe you know this already, they take a little while to turn the pens after placing the order, probably a good idea to order before travelling to India.

Switched to ASA ICan. Bought this blue/black quite sometime back along with a solid black. My little one took this with an exclamation "beautiful" ‼️ ‼️. If she used i doubt. She is grown up and found the ergonomics doesn't suit her smaller hands and gave it to me. And while cleaning it the original nib broke and had to insert a Chinese one. So not truly an Indian pen now 🙃. Filled with pelikan 🔵🔵PXL_20241014_053908193.thumb.jpg.8d882ab4a2b04afe689d2da1d5063f68.jpgPXL_20241014_054234675.thumb.jpg.8055d152ca16eedae6b7645413fcd07b.jpg

Lovely pen. How many turns to uncap

Thanks. All my Kim Jumbos take between 1-2 turns to uncap.
