A English made NOS gold capped burgundy (BBB?) P51 MKIII with nice broad stub nib.

I used to not like the MKIII 51s but after acquiring a few good examples, I found they not only look good but also write good.

1st Generation Vacumatic Junior (the Red Shadow Wave lockdown filler), and the newly repaired black Laidtone Duofold Vac Junior (?) (Speedline filler). Both pens currently filled with Waterman Mysterious Blue.

I think it's interesting how different the pens are, considering that they were manufactured roughly four years apart: 4th quarter 1937 and (I think) 2nd quarter 1941 respectively; and yet they still share a similar type of fill system.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

English Parker 51 bloody burgundy with rolled gold (what else?) cap. Medium nib, Sheaffer blue black ink from the sixties. Still the best.

Well, there are the R. Silver caps on English 51s. Currently using this f. pen and ballpoint set.
