A 1946 datecoded (both on barrel and nib) drove grey US made vac 51 that I just finished restoring. Inked with Waterman serenity blue. Mediumish nib. Clean gold filled cap. Writes extremely good.

Today i have a Q3 1988 Duofold Centennial Blue Marbled and a Q1 1990 Duofold Centennial Maroon Marbled. The former has the flat feather clip and flush gold bands while the latter has the raised feather clip and raised gold bands. Both inked with Quink Blue.

One unusual thing about the 1988 pen is the date code. The stamping somehow got clipped or interfered with so that the IE is missing it's bottom with the I being shortened and the E losing the bottom horizontal.

Parker Sonnet, fine steel nib and... Rouge Hematite: Troublesome ink (crud) and troublesome pen (evaporates like crazy) get along, against all odds. It's only day two and already you can see Rouge hematite leaving its mark on the nib, but it flows well.

First generation burgundy striped Canadian Vacumatic Standard with what looks to be a Tripple Broad Stub extra flexy nib.

This morning it was the Forest Green Parker 51 EF I lucked into at a estate sale last month, still with my initial fill of vintage Quink Permanent Violet.

While I'm still not completely enamored of EF nibs, I'm getting used to it....

Fred

A very interesting pen. Lovely, understated style.

A canada made 1948 Parker 51 Vacumatic cedar blue with a very unique line pattern on the transitional long arrow gold filled cap and a BB nib.

Two UK aero Duofolds (a sea green Senior and a black Maxima) are still inked and going strong for the past couple weeks as i have written very little with them.

So far today it's been the re-issued French-made Parker Vector, M nib, with diluted Diamine Flower Pansy.

  • 2 weeks later...

So far today it's been the new-to-me grey Parker 61 (I think it's an F nib) which was a last-minute impulse buy yesterday at the Ohio Pen Show (I needed to cheer myself up when the Snorkel I bought in September turned out to be a frankenpen that was going to cost more to repair than it was worth). And when I got home from the show last night I did my usual trick of flushing it out *just* enough to reconstitute the ink in the capillary filler (guessing it's Quink Black).

Need to look up and see if there is any way to ID the year or specific model (it has a really skinny, almost unnoticeable clutch ring between the barrel and the hood, and a silver color arrow).
