My 147 traveller which is coming to the end of a UNICEF turquoise cartridge. Anyone got any suggestions on how to flush out a 147?! :)

The group portrait of your pens is impressive.

Thank you for sharing it. I like the assortment.

Some midnight notes to make the day end on a fruitful note ...

A great note that's so well presented.

Such powerful feelings are nice to read in your handwriting.

As I greatly admire the PoA Peggy Guggenheim, the photo and handwriting are especially meaningful to me.

Thank you for posting this. I'm delighted to see such an outstanding pen in use.

I missed the delivery when she knocked, so I did what any rational pen-coveter would do: I jumped in my car and chased her down!

Today for me it's a 149 and a Coral Rouge et noir.

The 149 is inked with Montblanc Toffee Brown and the Rouge et Noir is inked with J Herbin Emerald of Chivor.

Sure, get a rubber bulb and squirt clean water into the cartridge nipple until it runs clear out the nib.

Appreciate the comment but That’s tricky with a 147, because of the way the cartridge container fits. I have never taken a 147 nib out of the barrel before..

I would not advocate removing the nib of a Montblanc for routine cleaning.

Maybe a short piece of flexible tubing could be adapted to inject water through the cartridge nipple.

Enjoying the gorgeous Peggy Guggenheim ... There are 6 pens inked right now and I seem to want to use a different one for every page I write.

How I clean a 147 (and a Boheme as well) is to use an old ink cartridge; drilling a small hole in the end and inserting a hypodermic needle full of distilled water in the hole, and flushing the pen. The method works quite well and has kept my cartridge fillers clean for many a year.
