As to which Montblanc I am using today, it is a Calligraphy 149

Cool! I dream of trying it, but there is no such model in the local boutique, it was not and probably will not be (I wrote to the head office).

I would suggest that you head over to:

There are pages and pages devoted to this pen. People there pointed to several European retailers who had them in stock. I ultimately bought one from the Montblanc Boutique in Orlando. I texted MB USA and they sent me information to the two retailers who had the pen in stock. Orlando MB got in touch with me and I had the pen in hand in four days. I just checked, and Fritz Schimpf in Germany says, "Article not in stock". If I were anywhere near Kyiv, I would let you use mine, in exchange for one of your beautiful drawings. Keep up the good work.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Yes, thanks Frank, very much, I appreciate it. Daniela from Montblanc Client Department provided information on which boutiques in Germany have this pen. I just hoped to try it first before spending a significant amount of money for me :).

It depends upon which rumor you want to believe. It is either a very limited edition pen that will soon no longer be produced; or it is going to be part of their regular production, just not much production. If the former is true, it will only appreciate in price; if the latter, you could still sell it for a good price. I have yet to hear about someone who doesn't like theirs, although it may take some time to get it working well. Please see this topic:

I find mine to be a perfectly serviceable EF Montblanc 149. If I vary pressure on the nib a bit, it adds some pleasant character to my writing. Having seen your artistic ability, I can almost guarantee that you'll love it.

In an effort to stay on topic, I wrote with my 149 Calligraphy today. I also used my Montblanc 149 90th Anniversary Rose Gold with a BB nib and James Dean Rebel Red ink—a nice dark ink.

Wassisname, the bald guy from Start trek, Captain Picard, wasn't it? That's on screen. I do not know who the script writer was who came up with it. Which is a shame.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Great those Start Trek script writers. Aren't they?

Old 149, old MB Royal Blue…

That's a nice still life photo. And I like your choice of ink.

An 80s black Montblanc 2118 Slimline with a steel fine nib with a long Waterman Serenity blue cartridge.

A 70s Carrera with the steel body (not the yellow body)  - can't recall its proper name - with a medium steel nib and Pilot blue black.

Both great pens.
