Is anyone using the Montblanc M Artfineline pen? Is the Artfineliner refill too fine for daily note taking? Thank you.

I tried it a couple of times and yes, for me it was too fine and quite dry.

I use it regularly, but I have always been drawn to a finer than average pen. I would say it is somewhere between a 0.25 and 0.35 drawing pen, but less critical of pen orientaion. The nib isn't particularly delicate, but I have had people break it if they borrow it expecting a ball point.

I would say it is the finest, in both senses of the word, fineliner I have come across. The only thing better for my technical notes I have found is a Sailor EF fountain pen, which is more like a MB EEF or finer.

I've flushed all my EF and F pens and have the following inked

Homer (OBB) with Montblanc Turquoise

149 (BB) with Kon-Peki - This writes much wider than my other BBs

Homer is such a nice pen.

Agreed. It's been in my rotation since I bought it. Currently inked with Racing Green.

Also have a Exupery BB inked with the special edition ink.

Homer is such a nice pen.

This thread is moving a little slowly, so here's today's pen... with the rest of the set too. It is an EF nib but Kon-Peki is a little wet and it writes wider than that. Will try a drier ink in it next.

That is a beautiful set! Kon-peki matches the pen really well,

I am letting my other fountain pens rest as I have been using the 149 Platinum Trim in Broad, inked with Kon-Peki.

It’s been serving me well as I travel around Japan, and is a great alternative as I await my 149 Yellow Gold in Medium to return from MB Service.

I have not actually inked them yet, but these bad boys - a 139, a 138 and an early 149 - arrived back today with fresh corks and will be put into circulation over the next few days.
