Today I shall be using my Christmas pens for the last time.

From top to bottom:

Sheaffer 1996 Holly, which has been inked with Diamine Blue Velvet. Such a fun pen.

A Jinhao X450, inked with Diamine's sparkly Magical Forest. I really enjoyed this ink.

A pearl white Duke 600 Lady, inked with Diamine Poppy Red.

I really do enjoy alternating paragraphs of red and green over the part of winter just gone. So bright and cheerful, when the world can feel so monotone and grey.

Pilot Custom Heritage 912

Another CH 912 here, SU nib, inked with Diamine Green Umber. Starting to love this pen.

Waterman Man 100 In silver with GvFC Garnet Red, a colour apparently liked more by me than by recognised inkophiles. The other new pen in today is a green Pelikan M800 with GvFC Moss Green, a colour for which the love is shared around.

First impression is that the nibs are almost indistinguishable for smoothness, allowing one is F and the other M. The Man 100 feels a bit more comfortable to hold. I see why everyone praises the Pelikan's piston mechanism; it is superb.

I just bought a Parker 21 at the local flea market and can't put it down. No cracks in the section, nice nib, black and silver finish, filling system is good, all for 5 bucks! I've got Sheaffer Skrip Jet Black in it at the moment. What a nice pen!!

Parker Vector (with what was sold to me as a B nib, but which I think is a modified italic) filled with Diamine Passion Red.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Just inked a Pelikan M805 Stresemann M and a MB 146 M with Shin-Kai to test them together. Looking forward to the next couple days of play writing with both.

Added to my pens in use two Onoto 4601 plunge fillers, one with Robert Oster Deep Sea and the other with Oster Turquoise. Despite the same No 2 nib the pens write quite differently so I will be giving the tines closer inspection.
