You are making me wanting RK's pen...lol

Did you get the 14mm, or 16mm body?

Dream, take one step at a time and achieve. :)

LOL...that's FPN for you!

I decided on the 14. Here's a size comparison....

Hahaha true that!

14mm looks perfect for me too.

Thank you for the comparison! :)

Retro 51/Fahrney's tornado Signatures (Declaration of Independence) fountain pen with a J Herbin cartridge of Lie de The. This time I took better care in getting the cartridge lined up and connected.

Pelikan M900 Toledo. Comparing with the M800 on which it is based, the lip to the section feels sharper under my fingers; probably not higher, just sharper. Whether this will bother me will take time to discover. Has anyone else encountered this?

Pilot Custom Heritage 91, Soft Fine nib, Diamine Blue Black ink. Very nice it was too.

I've recently switched from syringe filling a Pilot cartridge to the CON-40. This improvement means my pen rattles and needs refilling more often. Hmm.

I'm using my Pilot Metropolitan inked with Berry Beauty. After I finish with this fill and flush, I may switch to BWAS from Noodler's.

I got interested in fountain pens about two months ago. I'm still learning to write somewhat readable (left-handed), but I've managed to get a bunch of pens to try out. So far I'm using:

Parker IM Fine nib

Matt black Lamy Safari with medium nib

Purple Lamy Al-Star with retrofitted 14k gold nib (yes, I know it's kinda stupid)

TWSBI 580 Diamond with a #5 Jowo medium gold nib

Pilot "Namiki" Falcon soft fine nib

Kaweco Sport with fine nib

Faber-Castell Loom with fine nub

Jin-Hao X450 with Jowo #6 Medium gold nib

Jin-Hao X750 with Jowo #6 Fine gold nib

The most used one? The Lamy Al-Star with gold nib followed close by the TWSBI. But I always carry my Kaweco Sport eyedropper in my pocket. Light and writes smoothly.

And yes, my wife hates my new obsession!

Today I used my Delta Fusion 82 (Diamine Denim) I picked up on eBay used a few weeks ago. Liking it a lot.

I have a friend who is obsessed with cars.

He keeps buying cars without telling his wife.

My wife told me I can get pens as long as they don't cost as much as a car :)

So, any pen under $38M* then.

Onoto 850 lever fill in celluloid, the blue cracked ice look. It is filled with roughly equal parts of Robert Oster Yellow Sunset and Green Olive, and Waterman Purple and Serenity Blue, stuff I had left over in a vial from other tests.

This is the first pen bought specifically for repair, knowing it had bent tines, collapsed sac and ink-glued section. I paid half what the seller asked at the market and still felt it was too much but at least I would gain experience. Being inexperienced, the hardest part was gradually bringing the No 17 nib back into writing condition without breaking anything. It gradually worked, and the pen has changed from something I wanted to offload as soon as possible to a nice little writer I will keep.

Here is an old and terrible picture. The pen and clip are cleaner and lighter these days.
