For this week, I have 2 newly restored pens to try out. One is a green Parker UK duofold, with a small 14k B nib (possibly just an really wet M, it doesn't say). The other is a vintage third tier pen marked 'Raleigh', which I got because I love the color. It has a steel 'durium 8' nib, M, and is surprisingly smooth.post-130678-0-93275600-1489874862_thumb.jpg

I've decided to grab the MR today with Rhodia notebook. Should make a great Sunday set.

Today will be an unknown so far. It's time to put a new pen in rotation but so far I have no idea which it will be,

AbE: Decided on a Pilot Custom 74 size 1995 Maki-e model.

The Duofold looks like a Demi, should have a #15 nib (a tad larger than the Junior #10, but smaller that the Standard #25).

Practice, patience, perseverance

A pair of Waterman Ici et la pens. Inked with Diamine Delamere Green in the Khaki pen, and Diamine Ruby, in the err, Ruby. Both have nice Medium nibs.

These elegant pens are early Ici's and only accept short cartridges. Later models will take long carts and converters.

Yes, I believe it is. I don't really know much about the UK duofolds, other than that they were Parker's second tier of pens at the time, and I don't really know what sizes they were made in. It measures 5', and has a squeeze (modified aerometric) converter.

Thanks for the info.

Today was my Lamy Al-Star EF inked with Noodler's Blue Upon the Plains of Abraham.

Today's pen was a WASP that I recently repaired. I understand this was an offshoot of W A Sheaffer, back when they needed an outlet to "experiment" without risking damage to the company's reputation. It's nothing special to look at, but it has an amazing fine nib that I really like. It's a short pen with a screw cap. Lever fill. Like I said, nothing special, except that it's just a great-writing pen!

That makes it very special.

Inked this Parker Vacumatic Junior in Green 1935 stub nib with Pilot Blue-Black ink

Fred

Given your penchant for inking your pens with 'the blues', I will admit that I am mildly surprised that you chose to redact the handwritten text in that photograph using 'ink' that is black ;-)
