Wow, that looks awesome. It is way better than my 3rd grade hand writing.

Hi all -- I am totally new to FPN, and am so excited to be here! I just met up with my local pen meetup for the first time, and was given a "Pay It Forward Box" full of all kinds of fountain pen related goodies (I've been instructed to play with it to my heart's content, sharing pics as I go, then find someone else to pass it along to). This is my first little experiment, using some of the things in the box as well as a few of my own.

The goods:

Ink: L'artisan Pastellier Grenat

Paper: Claire Fontaine Triomphe (I was really impressed by how well it handled this much water)

Pens: Noodler's Ahab Flex for the writing, Pentel Water Brush Pen, and a Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen for the stars.

My new Franklin-Christoph model 20, beautiful pen. Ground to a 'Fine SIG' by Jim Rouse I believe. Smooth, lays ink down without skipping, the only real problem is my handwriting it seems! I'm working on learning "proper cursive" and trying to improve now but I never have had neat handwriting before, so do excuse it.

Diamine Imperial Purple ink, and that's the Franklin-Christoph's own brand notepad I'm writing on.

: Bravo: Excellent visual. Well done on the intent of the PIF tote. You have to meet the person to pass along the exploration. I started with Rob but I think a PIF travel log would be of value but it seems to be. Maybe keep one of the notebooks aside and designate it PIF Tote Travel log. Keep a small spot at the start for Goatgolfer June 2016. Keep whatever fascinates you and send along what vexes you. the A2P2 posse was a great place to start. It seems you may be into art gatherings as well. Why not? The variations with the ink in this example make me think I may be color deprived. Goat

Sometimes I think I can taste the colors of the ink through my eyes. That Emerald.....

this pen does not really have a name,
more like a description.

I love it.

It DOES post,( i found out i need to firmly press cap down )
BUT its long when posted.

Thanks goatgolfer! I like the idea of a PIF travel log, I'll start one and add it to the box. It was the shading of this ink that inspired me to paint with it, and to make the piece totally monotone -- from the second I put ink to paper I was mesmerized!

That is a very interesting pen, valkyrii, it conveys an air of mystery.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Oh yes, very cute.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Thanks, I actually really like it a lot. Very simplistic but weighted well and comfortable to write with for my hand,
