Gampupen, I notice that you left the nib-size sticker on the pen. Is there a reason for that? I would imagine that the presence of the sticker might improve a pen's resale value, but if you don't plan to resell the pen*, what purpose does it serve that outweighs the disadvantage** of having a sticker on your otherwise beautiful pen?

*I have no ideas of your plan for this pen; you simply happen to be the person whose image reminded me to ask this question. If you do plan to resell it, of course, feel free to ignore.

** Or perhaps to you*** it's not a disadvantage? I acknowledge my aesthetic opinions are not everyone's.

I just wanted to preserve the originality of the pen. I have done lot of research on my latest acquisitions and want to enjoy every writing moment with them, hence, have no plans to sell them presently.

It's okay if the sticker falls off by itself. I do not want to hurt my beloved pens by removing the stickers. After all, waxing hurts, doest it not. Lol

I leave the stickers on my Pilots as well. Particularly since I have a pair of Black Custom 742s, one with a SUtab nib and the other with a WAverley nib.

I have an inexpensive Pilot NOS pen that came with the sticker on. But it fell off shortly after I filled the pen. But the glue from the sticker seems to have etched the plastic of the barrel some. There's a rough spot under where the sticker was that doesn't just rub off.

I'm using my P45 again, now filled with Lamy Turquoise (much better flow than Diamine Majestic Blue in this pen)

Attempting (with some difficulty :)) to use only one pen for a month, thanks to a challenge on the board. Week one gone. May as well use some much neglected inks.

Wow LizB! I want to be able to write like you. That is writing style to be proud of right there. The pen and shading of ink is not too shabby either.

Currently writing and sketching more with the cheaper pens of my collection.

Jinhao x450, Duke Uranus 620 and Lamy cp-1 if I guess correctly. (The cp-1 with a broad gold nib was bought used for 25,- SFr.)

Writing down and illustrating a recipe for a new penpal.

Hi all -- I am totally new to FPN, and am so excited to be here! I just met up with my local pen meetup for the first time, and was given a "Pay It Forward Box" full of all kinds of fountain pen related goodies (I've been instructed to play with it to my heart's content, sharing pics as I go, then find someone else to pass it along to). This is my first little experiment, using some of the things in the box as well as a few of my own.

The goods:

Ink: L'artisan Pastellier Grenat

Paper: Claire Fontaine Triomphe (I was really impressed by how well it handled this much water)

Pens: Noodler's Ahab Flex for the writing, Pentel Water Brush Pen, and a Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen for the stars.
