bemon, as you say, what matters is that the pen is working perfectly well and being loved.

I wonder if some ink droplets collect under the trap door when the pen has been jostled or the temperature fluctuated. In that case would washing the trap door area with water help? But then I am not sure if washing that area is recommended or not. I've never had to do it, and I would hesitate because of invisible mechanism inside there.

In any case, when I commented on Oxblood nib creep it caught my eyes because I thought it was striking and pretty!

Thank you da vinci, as far as I know, the Urushi Raden Capless pens are not special edition or limited edition in the sense that the production period or number is limited in any way. I think they are still manufactured now? There are 2 or 3 more Raden designs and I got the Minamo (Water Surface) because it looked to be the prettiest to me. But photos are nothing compared to the real raden pieces sparkling in your hand as you turn the pen. It's so distracting, it's not for real work for me but it may just be my problem. :D

Thanks parker, and your artwork is amazing as usual.

I like the pop the purple line drawing gives to the overall picture.

Agreed- as long as it's working and being loved! I run water into the trap sometimes while the nib unit is in the pen and extended. Does the trick.

I also agree- I really like SNAK's Radin VP.

Do you mean the little white and orange cat next to parkerwasmyfirstlove's Cotman palette? I assumed it was some sort of a stress ball or something but we shall wait to hear what he tells us, shan't we? :)

Yes, it's a rechargable battery powered led nightlight from Ikea for the kids ☺️

Sweet! I'll have to get one to go with my little battery-powered pumpkin head. Thanks.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Currently inked.

It is interesting how different the Blue Velvet looks between the MB 146 and the Visconti.

Is that one of those visconty pen cases. It looks sweet. Do the pens get in touch with the zipper?

Am I in the minority for using the same pens 99% of the time? Out of my whole collection I tend to always reuse three and just ink the others up when I'm bored.

This ink and pen don't work well together so I'm cleaning it out tonight.

Beautiful! is it Aka-tame nuri? I would love a shot of the nib and a bit of writing sample with the BB stub please, if you get a chance. Looking at nibs never gets old for me.

I love what you can do with that nib. Very pretty.

Thanks perfaddict. Now MB Perm Blue is linked in my mind with you, just like Herbin 1670 Chivor Emerald is linked with Attila (I miss his posts).

Using my birthday present today for letter writing. Inked it with Sailor souten. It's a nice contrast to the odd red body of the pen, don't you think?

Was it your birthday lately? I hope you had a great day!

What is the red pen? Sorry if I missed any of your earlier post(s) introducing the pen.

Sorry to hear about your first ink spilling accident. I have a couple of major ones under my belt but let's hope we'll enjoy future pen life without any more big accidents. :)

I find Majestic Blue a bit tricky to find a good matching pen too. It tends to be cloggy for me. I hope the next ink will bring joy with your P45.

No, I didn't introduce the pen yet. I had a really nice birthday, the pen just arrived a few days later from amazon. It's a 2016 Duofold Big Red in fine. I found it for the price of a Sonnet since the 2017 models are out and amazon seemed to sell the old stock with an attractive disount. I'm very satisfied with the fine nib. It's fairly wet and while I probably won't use the pen very much for drawing which I have already of course, it is really nice for writing and plays very well with the Sailor inks which most of my other Parkers don't like so much.
