sooo nice posts everyone.

I thought I quickly chime in and continue writing (and drawing) this letter.

Parker Duofold International (M) with Sailor doyou.

Nice writing and drawing! Even threw in a bit of Japanese in there. And German? Where's the Japanese and German pen?

German pens would be my two Al-Satrs and my most japanese Fountain pen would be the Preppy, lol.

Rob K, I am totally in love with that pen / pencil. If you ever want it to go to a good home, call me.

Amberlea, it won't be easy for youd to wrestle this pen/pencil from me. A bit too much sentimental value. But thanks for the pen love. Edited by rob-k

See, that's totally awesome when you love your pen.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Happy weekend, everyone!

If you are celebrating mother's day tomorrow (I found out it's different depending on where you are), I hope you will have a wonderful day with your loved ones. My sons (9 and 6) promised me shoulder and neck massage free of charge and little cards and craft gifts they made at school "Not to be opened until Sunday!". :P

Yay! Happy mother's day to all mothers out there!

Writing and sketching with my TWSBI 580 Diamond AL in LAVA, filled with Waterman inspired blue, love the contrast.

I like the orange and cyan color contrast. And the skulls! What did you use for the white line in the drawing?

I received what I was promised for Mother's Day, and more. I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Did you receive your Apache Sunset bottle? If I were you I would make the Ahab eyedropper and fill it up with the glorious Apache Sunset!

Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 today.

The line that pen produces is very impressive! Pelikan Royal Blue is a great staple for me too, although I tend to mix it with Diamine Sapphire Blue to crank up the intensity a bit. :)

Which part of the section do you hold? I like a concave section with a flared lip at the end too, but for me it's more for the looks rather than for holding, because I usually hold my pens high up on the barrel, and even on a KoP I hold it above the cap thread. Every time I see my bottle of MB Perm Blue in my ink drawer, your "picture" (what's the technical word for that picture you put next to your forum ID? I know there is a word for it I can't remember right now) pops up in my mind. I enjoy the Perm Blue too.

Hi SNAK, how do you find the Kawecos keep up with those nibs? I have a Liliput I tried an italic nib in and it was too dry to function. Did they need any tinkering with?

Thank you SNAK. I made the white lines with a cheap Signo uni ball in creme.

I clutch pens in a child-like manner, with three fingers and one underneath the section, all towards the end of the section just above the nib. I find it very uncomfortable writing with the MB 146 and 149, as well as with Platinum 3776 pens, for this reason.

Glad you like Perm Blue too.

Eli, I also agree that is a beautiful blue ink. As always, I love your handwriting! I was experimenting with some Conway Stewart Tavy last nite, and it is somewhat similar in color--maybe a bit darker.

Last NITE, last nite!!!!

You may have read on another thread about what a plonker I have been – I flushed a lovely medium oblique "R" nib down the sink when washing it! I had only owned it for about 20 minutes. Shear good fortune placed a 45 with another "R" nib on UK Ebay a mere 24 hours later (I had waited more than a year to find the first one).

So this picture is my way of celebrating. It shows both my "R" nibs carried by two lovely 45s.

The paper is good old Basildon Bond ... but I forgot to remove the writing guide before taking the picture. As I said, PLONKER!

Cheers,

David.
