double wetness

monsoon-like spring rains here today rather match the wet 149 nib and small puddles of p.w. akkerman #26 groenmarkt smaragd.

an oldie & seemingly "moldy" ... but it works

33661854573_1c88a69a81_c.jpg

I would venture a guess that this was already 40 or 50 years old when I received it. For all I know, my grandpa might have found this at a local flea market or Goodwill store in Chicago or perhaps he bought it new (not likely knowing his habits). I can't say that the nib enhances my already shaky penmanship, but it's the nearest I have to a family heirloom from that part of the family.

That is a beautiful pen!

Here are more random sketches during a meeting. Pilot 823 (with diluted PR Naples Blue Ink) and Pilot Metropolitan M (with Pilot Red Cartridge).

Rob K, I am totally in love with that pen / pencil. If you ever want it to go to a good home, call me.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

A modest TWSBI Eco White with an EF nib today. Ink is Montblanc Corn Poppy Red and the paper is from the Staples Arc notepad. Sometimes you just want an extra fine line to be extra fine. I have a lot of other more expensive pens with F or EF nibs and they just don't give me that fine line I want sometimes. I know, I know, get a Japanese pen. I will soon. But for now, this TWSBI is a great writer and unbelievable value for such a great pen.

Today's carry pens are from the Chicago Pen show. I decided to get a Taccia, mostly for the translucent teal color...and secondly to burn up the several dozen Sailor cartridges I have eventually.

My real happy moment though is the Newton Pens Bamboo! I love it!

Happy Spring Day! The sun shining is a great change after all the rain and overcast we've had lately.

You've turned my head GREEN with envy over the beautiful Yellow Ribbed Naginata Togi! :gaah: (no longer available)

Thanks so much. I think only a very few of them were made; this one sports an amazing nib I've shown here before.

omg! Those things are huge. The Pelikan looks positively diminutive next to the Delta and MB.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.
