Thanks Jon

That may be the one I´m looking for. I´m a sucker for BB inks.

The next ink I´ll try will be Iroshizuku Tsuki Yo or R&K Sepia - just to go in a completely different direction.

You've got to try Tsuki-yo if you like BB inks. I've got some and it's great. It's got a subtle teal undertone.

Nice sample! Diamine Ochre is fun to use with a broad and/or flexible nib. Worth a try!

I spent yesterday on "Jane duty", watching my four month old granddaughter whilst her parents were at work. My wife and I raised three sons so having a little girl in the family is a delightful change of pace. We took a lunchtime walk to a local eatery, where Jane preferred a booth.

When we got home Jane wanted to see what pens I had so I showed her the Oldwin Art Deco in my pocket.

Jane especially liked the concentric rings on the cap and the iridescent blue of the pen. The Oldwin gets high marks.

She soon spied the iconic snowcap of a Montblanc and insisted on inspecting that one, too.

I got it back after a short tussle.

Jane wants everyone to know that no, she wasn't clutching, and everything is better now.

Jane is so charming. My granddaughters (still unaccustomed to fountain pens) say hello and wave their pencils and crayons ;)

My ink wishlist - Aurora Optima with Diamine Denim.

The pen was extremely dry when got it Friday. The tines were almost welded together.

I´m still trying to figure out what ink will match this one,

I bought Sailor Souten to go with it, but that match is horrible,

What a gorgeous Optima! May I ask what went wrong with the Souten?

A semil-flexing match between a Pilot Falcon vs a very old Swan Mabie-Todd hard rubber.

You know your Falcon. This is a rare sight: usually, the Falcons fall far behind their vintage counterparts.

Here is a picture of the Bexley.

Love this photo.

@Eli

There´s probably nothing wrong with Souten. My guess is that the pen is too dry to for this ink.

I prefer dark inks in fine nibs like this one. The lighter inks need a wet nib to shine.

My mum sent me a pen she picked up from a flea market in France. It's a nice smooth fine writer.

What a beauty! I haven't found any in the flea markets so far that isn't in a horrid condition!

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

Beautiful! I really love brown inks, and the Lady Patricia and the Magellan are such beautiful pens!

Wow! Eli, your script is always so gorgeous. Wish I could write like that. The Sheaffer inlaid nib is one of my favorites, although for this particular pen, I wish they'd have kept the PdAg nibs. I'm not usually into the look of the Targa, but this particular finish actually looks quite nice.

Got bored of the ol' blackletter I was using so found one that seems very 1940s German Gothic to try out. I like it! It's a bit easier to write as well as it is mainly straight lines and natural angles so I can speed it up.

Using my Franklin-Christoph with the FC music nib pumping out Iroshizuku Take-sumi.

Paper is Rhodia, dotPad.

I'm going to try one of them at a time and see. First up Toffee Brown:
