Me too, though I wish I had access to some of the more interesting nibs that are shown. The cost - and distance / shipping etc - make everything a massive risk.

David, that pen is a beauty.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Today I am using two very different pens each with super smooth 18K medium nib. A Pilot VP that I purchased about 6 years ago to celebrate passing a cardiac CT test (they are not fun), and a Pelican M805 I am currently using as my daily journal writer. I am not a pen fountain collector but a fountain pen user, but I could not part with either one of them.

Also this is beautiful. The ink colour is magic! And you make stub writing an artform :-)

I've been looking at yellow inks this past week; I'm thinking of getting a Pilot Parallel 1.5 or 2.4 to use as a highlighter at work. Diamine Sunshine Yellow has just become a contender for filling it.

I love what I see here. Really. Enjoy your new Bexley!

Thanks, Helen! I love this ink - it's quite close to one of my all-time favourites, Waterman Serenity Blue, but richer, darker and wetter. Perfect for flex writing.

And here's another shade of blue:

Lamy 99/37, OB nib, Diamine Florida Blue & La Cucaracha

Goals. Just...wow.

And to stay on topic...(well ... sorta)

I hope art is okay, too! I'm twiddling my thumbs while I wait for my Lamy 2000 (EF) to be delivered today. I decided it was time to get the band back together.

  • Lamy Safari Charcoal - Extra-Fine (Liner & Fine Details)
  • Lamy Al-Star Black - 1.9mm Stub (Shading)

Aurora Black in 'em all for some comparisons. Then probably onto some Diamine Imperial Purple.

Glad you are back, I missed your drawings, they're way too cool.
