Sounds very nice.

I'm glad that you succumbed to the colors.

Enjoy!

I knew someone would like it :) if I had the funds for it nowadays, I would also go for it. Congratulations

When I was first given a preview look at the pen mid November, honestly I thought it was ugly. I liked the clip, section, nib, filler knob, and the HUGE star. But the color stripes killed it. Then I saw it again, and it started to appeal. Then I saw it again in the store display, its unique, its different. It makes me smile every time I see it.

The colors just say, happy. For me being able to use a pen that can just bring a little light is worth it.

edit: I was also given a vinyl record of Abby Road.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Thank you so much for the GREAT pen and nib images.

Your images are the kind which we love seeing in the “Enjoying Montblanc Pens...” thread.

Vivid, exciting and fun!

I've been partial to the Beatles pens from the outset, so it does my heart good to see your images and comments.

Thank you for offering not one but several comparison shots.

From your images I see that it's not so small of a pen, after all.

I hope that you'll enjoy it for a long time to come.

With Happiness,

Tom K.

It is a fairly large pen, its got some weight to it but it's balanced well in hand. Though, I have only jotted down a few notes rather than pages at the moment.

just picked this up off ebay: my second 234 1/2 luxury version, in near-mint condition. my first one had an OBB nib, and this one comes with an F, so i'll have the best of both worlds ;)

I just returned to your post to re-admire the delightful comparison photos of your Beatles fountain pen.

What a surprise to read that they presented you with a vinyl record of ‘Abbey Road’!

Your experience and the pen are all positive.

May you enjoy writing with it in 2018 and beyond.

The shape of this pen I like quite a lot, it's just the colored stripes on the body, the shape of the clip and the nib that just don't feel right for me, although it is a lovely pen, congratulations on your adquisition, what I like the most of it its the huge snow cap.

Cheers,

Luis A.

I can fully understand that, it's different. The term Jerry uses is "ugly beautiful" when you know what each piece is and why it makes a little more sense.

The colors are their suits on Sgt. Pepper.

The clip is their mustaches.

The cone is the knob on the equipment at the Abby road recording studio.

The Apple on the nib... I can't remember that one right now.

The large top is suppose to represent a microphone ( the 1969 and 88 have mesh tops)

But it is definitely different, but like I said before part of why I decided to get it is because it makes me smile.

GP and Tom k, thanks now I remember hearing that. But always good to know.

Was able to pick up a bottle of the Beatles ink last night, as it was finally available in the us.

Congratulations on the 75th Anniversary 149, a lovely and very useful pen! But no more pen spending for a decade???????? How about we revise that a bit to maybe, oh, say 10 days? You know you want to be happy and make us enablers happy too!!!!!
