What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase? 2017

Recommended Posts

I had not bought any MB pens in a while, focusing more on Japanese pens or custom pens. However today I picked up 2 pens based on the 146 shape, both in silver.

Photos to follow once the pens arrive - one from across the city and the other across the Atlantic.

I am kinda surprised I did not buy another 149. Well, the day is still young!

1950's 256 with a factory BB.

No cracks in the cap!

Fat pen, holds a bath-tub full of ink.

Nib is smooth as butter. Ski-slope feed gives a generous, wet line.

Think it's a keeper.

Enjoy.

Thanks, Zaddick.

The smoothest nib I've had. Using it for everything, at the moment.

Looking forward to your photos. Always a treat.

Enjoy

Wet juicy B : wight beauty balance going together : tho a tad short in height , its an awesome performer.

Even sans performance, sometimes Art for Art's sake !

Well, I did end up putting an offer in on a 149 on FleaBay Sunday afternoon, but did not get it for my price. Oh, well... lots more 149s in the sea...

Here is one of the two pens I did buy...

Good for you on snagging an OB nib! I think this is one of their best, I love the cylindrical bulge of the body. Great pictures!

I spend many months each year traveling and so this seemed the perfect addition.....plus it is red and I can't resist red.

Great pen. Congratulations! I refill my ink carts with different color inks and really enjoy my 147. I have the black one with gold trim and it is not only one of my favorites, it was the first FP model that started me down the FP rabbit hole. Where did you find a red one?

Thank you...it was a steal! Australian eBay. Had been on there for about a month for $500 (Australian)with no takers. I then got an email from eBay telling me the price had dropped to $400 (Australian) including P&P Buy it now...so I did :).

I'm really debating getting a 4810 Gaius maecenas... It's been one of my favorites...

Ditto, especially while it's still possible to get this from some authorised dealers/boutiques. Although the new PoA Borghese seems to be made of actual granite, whereas I think Gaius is some sort of laquer made to look like marble.
