Zaddick, your 149 3B is quite a rare find--congratulations! Which feed does it have?

Thanks. I spent last night writing with it. It lays down a lot of ink without wetting the paper like my M1000 Pelikan nibs.

The feed is solid ebonite, no grooves or split, hence my dating it to the layer 160s to early 1970s or so.

Congrats zaddick a really nice find.

it would be interesting to see the thickness of the tipping with some scale...if you don't mind.

Per your request, a quick pic at work this morning. The tipping does not look overly impressive next to a ruler, but it feels like it lays down a much wider line that you would expect, wich was lmost surprising to me.

some lines as an example:

Hopefully that helps. Ihave some 149 BB nibs at home I will try to compare this one too when I have time.

An old coral red MB no.2, a new sac and a clean-up and it´s ready for many years of writing again.

Wow, that's impressive!

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Picked up a yellow gold Mozart at a very good price which arrived today. I sold my previous one last year and regretted it ever since. Not the most exciting pen, but it writes well and is simple and cheap enough for travelling light. Next on my list is a Broad 146 or 149 with ebonite feed, I like the bi-tone 149 nibs from the 70s.

After 15 years of Montblanc collecting, I am actually eyeing my first Mozart in platinum. My thoughts exactly regarding it potentially being a great daily user.

Would love to see pics if you can share of it :)

Having trouble uploading, not sure if I've reached a limit or something.

The Mozart is lovely, even sat next to my 149 it looks comfortable as the smaller brother. And it writes as well as the other Meisterstucks, except the nib has no spring or flex at all.

Stunning pen and looks in fabulous condition, particularly given its age.
