On reading through this topic, I came across this quotation by Friedrich Neugebauer, submitted by drv1913 on 4th April 2017. I've been a great admirer of the calligraphy of Friedrich Neugebauer for many years and couldn't resist writing it out and posting it here, even although it's out of sequence.

 

For those who haven't come across it - his book "The Mystic Art of Written Forms" contains many truly beautiful original forms of traditional lettering and his own profound thoughts on the subject. One of the few books it'd hate to be without.

Thank you David. I am not too happy about doing the Italian this heavy but at the time I thought the increased contrast with the English translation might work better.
