Mine are daily use nibs/pens.

I suspect the signature nib came about when people stopped learning to write more than their name and perceived any pen that failed to mimic their "free" pens and didn't require gouging into the page to write as somehow reserved for special events. Or maybe they only saw educated people in perceived positions of authority signing off on the documents they brought after "keyboarding" all day?

If I have to sign something I do use my BB, but I mainly use it for writing, notetakeing and general tomfoolery. I have four or five pens inked and pick whichever one appeals to me at the time.

I hardly sign anything any more so my pens get used for most everyday tasks like notes, lists, and drafts or memos. Sadly thr few checks I sign need a roller or ball point as I have carbon copy checks so I need to use pressure to imprint on the carbon paper below. Last time I ordered checks was before you could get a digital image and had to request a photocopy from the bank! How quaint.

My O3B is going to take longer than estimated to arrive. They seem to be overly busy this time of the year, with newly launched Writers' Editions and all. At least that's the official excuse. :(

Still nothing. More than four weeks have passed since placing the order, and I still have no idea when the pen will be delivered. :gaah:

It will be soon, I'm sure of it, Mr Vlad :) Remember that when that wonderful box shows up at your door, the whole wait will have been worth it. I'm excited to see yours when it arrives!

There is an interesting parallel between using a broad nibbed pen for "special occasions" and drinking Champagne only on "special occasions." Those who reserve their broad nibbed pens or their Champagne only for "special occasions" are missing out on life. Champagne goes with almost any kind of food, and an OBBB nib can be used for almost any kind of writing.

Churchill and I would agree. Although I am not allowed to have day long buzz at work.
