Montblanc Red Gold 149 Obbb

Hang in there. Mine took around 4 months after it was finally shipped to Hamburg (6 months total). It is worth it!

The first nib the sent the pen back to Dallas with didn't pass their QC, so it had to go back to Hamburg and wait from the end of the line again -_-

It's longer than the standard 146, so I find it quite comfortable to use and the added weight means it floats quickly along under its own inertia with minimal effort to steer. I haven't tried posting as I didn't need to, but assume it would damage the enamel. If you've ever held an Oppenheim, the weight and length is similar.

I haven't seen "Baby" for a few days.

Thank you. I hope you're enjoying that beautiful pen.

Tom, my three 146s again... My Gaius was sent away for the OB nib... yesterday i spent part of the day with the OB tester pen from the boutique (they were kind enough to loan it to me for a few hours).

I honestly want to thank you for your help (along with Ghost and Zaddick).

Until recently i thought Oblique nibs were exclusive to people who rotate their pens. Now i see them differently. Not only is the OB on its way, i am also getting a pen ground to a Oblique cursive italic.

Again, thank you!

Chatterley had an O3B 149 for sale last week and I missed it. I'm waiting around for a used one but may end up just forking over the money for new.

If you are in the US, buy new from Europe. With skipping VAT, free shipping, and a discount code you my be awfully close to the price of the used pens you see. And with a new pen, you don't have to wonder if it is really an O3B or OBB since the nibs are not marked.

I will not be gardening, per orders of my newest neighbor. A not so subtle reminder that these are the tropics.

x Wouldn't want to neglect my 149 and O3B.

And I don't think that Lucky would have fared too well with that critter. I helped him write the book with a fountain pen.

This has gotten very difficult recently. The cost of the same 149 purchased in early January has now gone up $70-$80. It is still a little cheaper than locally, but a Montblanc retailer in the USA (Pen Boutique) was able to handily beat the exchange rate of my most recent purchase by $60.

This is why I haven't bought the O3B on Martini's website. I'm also more interested in a platinum finish which are hard to find on secondary markets.

I haven't found a European retailer that accepts discount codes on MB but their prices are still great after discounting VAT. The O3B is probably next on my purchase list after recently being leapfrogged by a special edition pen I ordered this week.

LCDC and Appelbloom will let you use discount codes, even if they say in the email you can't.

I haven't tried LCDC but the code I used at Appelboom ("friend") hasn't worked on MB items for me in the past.

I love this excerpt.

Using a video as reference, this was sketched in the wee hours this morning using a charcoal pencil, with highlights by a Platinum 149 OBBB inked with Montblanc Midnight Blue.

These three 149s are my favourite writers.

Will this trio become a quartet? I wonder.
