I'm still waiting in the mail for this.

Sometimes, it's frustrating to support the local store when I could have bought it from Amazon and had it for slightly less money (the store charged me for USPS First Class Mail shipping) in two days, or possibly gone to a local competitor and had it the same day for about the same money. It isn't that I desperately need it, but it's irritating to know that I spent a lot of money on it and I don't have it in hand yet.

They promised when I bought it that it'd be here no later than this weekend. Maybe it'll be here Monday. :-(

It arrived today. It's very nice and I'm glad that I bought it. I'm using Pilot Blue-Black cartridges with it.

I bought and ordered a bunch of: Parker Jotters and Classic ballpoints, Parker Jotter fountain pens, Platinum Balance fountain pens, a variety of Pilot Vanishing Point and Elite fountain pens, Platinum Carbon desk fountain pens, Pilot desk fountain pens, Pilot Plumix fountain pens, Pilot Penmanship fountain pens, and Monami Olika fountain pens. I got a handful of each that I mentioned above to use and to have as back ups.

I am waiting for my Pelikan M800 and M1005 to come back from Pendlteton Brown, with BLS nibs!! Been in the post for 3 days now, and left the USA on Friday, so hoping it turns up in Aus today so it can be delivered by the weekend!

I've just ordered two more Jinhao 992 - both transparent - a blue and a red. The "red" one looks orange to me - much lighter and brighter than the colour they call coffee.

The plan for these is to order two more Blackstone scented inks to go in them - Blue Gum and Wild Orange - because I am really enjoying their Brown Boronia (which is in my coffee pen) and Australian Bush (which is the green).

Will work for pens...

Got the supposedly flexy Jinhao 450... Only as slightly variable under pressure as an average x750 as I suspected. I'll put a review up later.

Got the Waterman 52 1/2 ringtop. Very nice condition, but not flexy enough for my liking... probably a sale.

Still waiting on the steel No Nonsense, and maybe tomorrow, a gorgeous crazy flex Aikin Lambert Capitol eyedropper with an 18KT nib made for the European market.

Bought two Wing Sung 3001A to try them. Random colors, so there is also the element of surprise.

I have just ordered a NIB Conklin Mark Twain (Fine) Black Chased Gold... super excited to ink it up. I'm a relative noob amongst sages and I realize that my collection and utilization are far different than many here in FPN. I'm primarily a low range (<$200) price point primarily F/EF 'user' [except for addressing, signing, cards, and some letters] who writes all over everything all the time to handle/manage some bad aphasia and severe memory issues as a result of two strokes and a traumatic brain injury. I'm never without one or two pens on me and write on everything from the ever present 5"x8" cards (gasp) I use religiously throughout each day, birthday/thank you cards, lists, journaling in midori/rhodia/mokeskine notebooks, bible study, writing in margins of books, and an average of 5 love letters a week to my bride of 21 years. I swap colors a lot, except for my TWSBI workhorses which stay full of Noodler's Heart of Darkness. It's all the others that get used for letters a what not. I'm quite the Noodler Nut, but have a pretty broad pallets to experiment. As I prefer something with water resistant qualities. I'be read that it's a wet one, and pens vary even within model, but has anyone dialed in an ink you really like in this. (BTW; my writing is typically on what most would consider the small side).

So since it's been awhile since the Conklin MT threads were active, are there any new revelations or ink recommendations you all might have after putting some miles on yours? Thanks all!

Added a Wing sung 618 to the list... wanted to buy a Kaweco Al Sport but I shouldn't spend that amount of money so a cheap pen it is to satisfy pen cravings.

Pilot Vanishing Point Crimson Sunrise, which theoretically will come with a bonus Pilot Metropolitan and a Jinhao x250 (probably destined for my teenage daughter). I have a Pilot VP Twilight and had been thinking about the Crimson Sunrise for a while.

I also have a pair of Duke 209 fude nib fountain pens ordered from China that I'm looking forward to playing with--I like fude nibs for inking artwork.
