Waiting on a custom made pen from Shawn Newton, it will ship tomorrow. It is an Orville in SEM red and black ebonite with a section built to accommodate a vintage Diamond Medal #8 nib and an extra section with a stub nib.

It will be worth the10 month wait having this great old nib back into a equally great pen.

May we live, not by our fears but by our hopes; not by our words but by our deeds; not by our disappointments but by our dreams.

I am waiting for a 1951 Forest Green Sheaffer Valiant TM, which is essentially a Snorkel without the tube. It is a medium, and has been restored by Danny Fudge. The pen comes with a 14K conical Triumph nib with a Waverley tip and the touchdown filing system.

I would love to get Sheaffer Valiant with a fat barrel if I could find and afford one. They were just made for a couple of years before the introduction of the TM (thin Model) described above.

After a few months resisting and not buying new pens, I ordered two new pens. Two vintage German piston fillers:

Geha 760 with grey stripes

Kaweco Elite 187

I received the pen yesterday but alas, had to make an out of town trip leaving no time to ink it up and give it a test drive. It is a striking pen and I'm looking forward to having it in my pocket.

Platinum #3776 Century. Almost bought one as my first fountain pen nearly three years ago but went for a different pen instead. Could never really forget about the pen, so I finally ordered one a few days ago.

Beautiful pen. What nib and colour?

I have the blue in broad and the red in coarse.

Bourgogne, medium nib. I knew what nib I'd want, but choosing between red and blue took me two weeks ;). I think I might buy the Chartres Blue with a fine nib later, if I end up liking the pen.

I'm waiting on a P51 silver cap, India black, with the blue diamond on the clip similar to the one my father-in-law left me. I'll have to find a new photo holding site since the "bucket" doesn't allow 3rd party shares for free......

Tom's Studio brass 'minimal' holder for my new foray into dip pens. (Straight holder. But I have the oblique coming for my birthday).

I have a number of vintage dip pen nibs, as well as contemporary, so will probably try it out with a Nikko G nib then try out some of the old nibs and see what works.

My Jackdaw got lost in the post. I was gutted. I got refunded through eBay of course (and the seller was very reasonable) but I had an emotional investment in a flexible Jackdaw, if a little long to go into here.

I've got some other treats coming up, but still.

A Caliarts Ego 2 - clear demonstrator with purple ends. Which makes it a purple piston pen. Wouldn't want to say that after a few drinks! :P

Will work for pens...

I have a Mabie Todd dip pen coming my way, it's my first dip pen. Any leads on where to find a correct MT nib? It doesn't have one.
