I just ordered my first fountain pen, as I got some of the others as a gift. Read many reviews and think it will be a nice first choice.

Pilot Custom 74 demonstrator in blue. :-)

I have a problem!
I just bought a Custom 823, Justus 95 and two more VPs although I have one in each nib size except in EF. But now I will!

What have I done?!
The only other pens on my to buy list are Sailor 1911 Large and Realo, Pro Gear Realo.

An Esterbrook squeeze filler in pale blue/grey and a German piston filler from the '30s (with a non-functional piston), both from the Bay of E.

I expect the Estie will need little more than a good cleaning. The piston filler, on the other hand, might be something of a project....

A Sheaffer Imperial and a Waterman Junior. Both from the 'bay.

Montblanc is still taking their sweet time with their OBBB nib for my platinum-furnitured 149. That's just fine--I know La Couronne du Comte will ship it as soon as it comes in.

I already have a plan for using it to sign those wretched insurance forms that give you a tiny space about an inch long to sign your name. I'll just use the OBBB over the bottom third of the page with the most outrageous ink I can think of. Miserable bastards.

Oh them! They're really nice people. One of the guys told me it was sort of a hobby that ran out of hand. Great guys!

I fulfilled my promise to myself and stopped buying pens.

So I'm just waiting for a red ripple/woodgrain (I don't think it made up its mind) Typhoo Tea, a Watermans 502, a Watermans 12 PSF, and a Mari nib for an Osmiroid 65/75.

Hi, I'm Mat

A broken Onoto 6233 with the aim of achieving repair. If successful then (having one already) I will resell at cost to put another excellent pen back into circulation.

I thought that I might share with you a new addition to my flock which arrived today. This is my NOS bordeaux Waterman Gentleman fountain pen with a smooth broad nib.

The nib point measures 1 mm from the back.

Looking a the nib from an angle at the side

or fully at the side

as well as from the back (above), you can see how nice the writing surface for the nib is. The nib is a smooth-writer which provide nice variation in lines -- not too wet, but providing a nice amount of ink, and never dry.

This new addition was definitely worth the wait! : )
