What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail 2017

A Desiderata Daedalus. :)

My favorite flexy-fun fountain pen! (Desiderata/Zebra-G)

Next would be the Ranga Zayante/Brause Rose.

Followed by a Neponset/Ahab

I'm woking on a Singularity/Leonardt-G that works nearly as will as a Desiderata so far but more adjustment is needed.

If you have never tried a steel dip nib before, that thing will blow your mind.

I'm still waiting on the Waterman Blue Ripple...Waiting...Still waiting.

After reading many positive reviews, I finally decided it was time to give a The Parson's Essential Fountain Pen a go, I've just ordered a black version with a Italic Fine nib. So many options & so many nib grinds. I'm expecting great things, hope I'm not disappointed....

I think this is waiting for me at the post office... however, I don't think I'll pick it up because there's a customs fee/bill attached to it because the seller indicated that the pen was worth much more than it actually is.... importing goods is free up to 22€, I paid 15€ for the pen but it seems that the value indicated on the package is 40€. This results in a 20€ fee.... not worth it :(

Holy Moly, that's ludicrously expensive! And at such a low threshold! Personal imports to Japan are free up to ¥10,000 (about $100), then a base rate of 8% duty after that.

Wise move! I have two Italix pens, with Fine Cursive Italic in my Parson's Essential. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Soon a full-sized Parker 51 will be on its way to me. My favorite pen is a Parker 51 demi, but I have never owned a full-sized one.

In transit is [takes a breath] an S T Dupont Line D Atelier Chinese Lacquer Brown, M nib. Theoretically there is a Classique in tortoise also coming but the seller has not sent any tracking information. Some other pens are pending. After a while out of or not much in the market, I have had a late flurry.

Will you review the pen and show how it writes?

Will work for pens...

My handwriting in embarrassingly bad, but yes I'd be happy to do so. Probably won't happen until the weekend as I'm quite busy, but I will do it.

Tracking information arrived for the Classique mentioned in #651. However, two pens on the way is clearly not enough after whole months of restraint, so on their way are: an Aurora, an Aurora, another Aurora and also an Aurora, these being the three colours of the Italian Flag plus a Primavera so I will shortly be fully loaded with Optima-based pens with 18k nibs. I can not afford to have stuff go missing while changing addresses so that will be it for a while, and a good thing too.

My first Parker 51 :D

Cool. Aerometric or Vac?

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Aerometric, and also has a custom grind done previously which should be fun :)

I was hoping to find one in the wild, but the chances aren't great with select few antique stores around my area!
