Waiting on a Jinhao x750 from Amazon to check in on what all the fuss is about in these cheap yet quality pens, as well as a bottle of Lamy Petrol I got for $20 from a very generous online seller.

For me it's another Esterbrook, a copper J-series (not sure of the size yet) with a 9314-F nib. That's a nib I didn't have (I'm slowly trying to acquire all the 9xxx nibs, although a few are harder to get than others....

Oh, and if someone on here won the bidding this evening on that lot of pens and parts on the Bay of Evil, which included a 9312 nib unit -- I hate you. Officially....

One Jinhao 992 and two 599 (all clear demonstrators) plus a glass dip pen coming from China. Also a couple of Pilots: a Plumix in purple on it's way from America and a Prera with a CM nib from Japan.

It looks like a lot but, except for the Prera, they are all inexpensive orders and made slowly since the beginning of May. They take soooo... long to get here - I continue to order a little something every week or two and it feels as if the outstanding list keeps growing rather than arriving! I like to create things to look forward to and think about. Next week? Hmmm... At some point I will stop this and save for a Pilot Falcon instead.

Will work for pens...

I missed the delivery today, for my first Indian. A Ranga Ebonite 4C in smooth black, with a sweet Broad Cursive Italic nib should arrive from Peyton Street Pens instead tomorrow.

Now I need to find an ink which looks and smells like Tikka Masala.

Very nicely understated!

Sine I got a new job yesterday and a guy there was sporting a Montblanc at his desk, I bid successfully on another Bexley Prometheus (my third) at Bexleys ebay shop. I was the only bidder and got the turquoise Prometheus for 87,99 US$. This celebration pen will go with me when I start the job in August.

A pair of Waterman Dauntless, a pair of Waterman Conquest and a lot of about a dozen Wearevers - all from the Bay of E.

It should be fun cleaning them all up.

Well the Estie has arrived and the nib, um, may have some issues. :( Not to mention the amount of crud that got flushed out of the nib and feed (and barrel, and from inside the cap...). :o

In the meantime, the next item in the queue isn't a pen, just a nib -- Estie 9314-B. (I screwed up and got outbid on the seller's other offering, a 9048 nib unit, because I got sidetracked and forgot to check the time on when the hammer came down on that auction. C'est la vie....)

Still waiting for my Platinum 3776. Been 21 days thus far, and it has not yet arrived here in the States.

I just purchased OMAS Arte Italiano 1930 with medium nib.

I have small hands and have been looking for the small version of OMAS.

Can't wait to get it! :)

Another Wing Sung 698 from Vanness Pens. This time black with a fine nib. Plus two Pilot Plumix's 1.0mm stub nibs from Anderson pens so I can swap nibs with my 698's.

Received the Wing Sung 698, black body with a fine nib today. Swapped out the nib with the 1.0mm Plumix nib. A few minutes sharpening on the Arkansas stone and a little smoothing on the 4000 grit and 12000 grit buff stick made it a nice crisp .7mm (approximately) italic.

Pleasantly surprised how nice the pen looks and feels (not cheap at all).
