This little gem.

I can hardly wait.

The Waterman 52V Olive Ripple in Superflex.

I have a bottle of Sailor's Clown Tears that should beat it here by a couple of days.

Currently waiting for a Diplomat Traveller, a pack of Pilot Varsities, and a J. Herbin Rollerball bundle (3 pens and 3 things of cartridges and 3 converters). One of the J. Herbins is going to my boyfriend if he wants it, everything else is for me.

(If only I had seen this thread 2 weeks ago, or I would have had a more exciting answer, but now finally have my Platinum 3776 Century Chartres Blue in a soft fine nib.)

Last week, I bought a TWSBI Mini Al in Blue.

This week, I bought a Lamy Safari in Black Matte (to replace one that I had given away), and a Lamy Al-Star in Pacific.

Today, I finally bought a Lamy Safari in Dark Lilac.

Four fountain pens in two weeks. . . And I put myself on a waiting list for a Lamy Safari in Petrol.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!

The cap received with the Oldwin Pen is also blue pearl but very different to the pearl of the Oldwin pen.

The cap has a 4cm long Gold clip with an engraved lozenge shape with centered (E). Does anyone recognise this mark? Does anyone have a n Oldwin Cap?

Currently, I'm waiting for a Bexley Prometheus in Mint Chip with a medium nib, just purchased it directly from Bexley via ebay. Seems to be a leftover from a recent Massdrop order. I got it extremely cheap, so consider myself lucky.

I got the yellow, F nib, via the same route! That nib is just super smooth right out of the box. It's such a big pen that I generally write with it unposted, and it's so beautiful that I keep it in its own velvet drawstring pouch (which it fills to the top!) for safety. I'll be watching Howard's listings from now on.

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

This week, I bought a Lamy Safari in Black Matte...

They make those? Now you've done it!

I'll have to take a look, you know...

I have one of the numbered Delta Unicas in matte black and love the feel of it. Sadly, the nib did not make the cut, even with a factory replacement, so I put a Goulet black nib in it.

That Safari, which I never knew existed, may have just gone near the top of my 'must have' list.

Thanks, I think...

ETA: Um, is that the Charcoal?

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

There are several "matte black"ones on ebay but it's hard to see it it's different than the charcoal one (from the pictures).

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Oops! Sorry! Yes, it is the charcoal matte.

I'd like to be waiting for the Visconti pininfarina blue carbon or the Visconti pininfarina iridium. I always have to get permission from She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Well the birds have landed! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: Only one fancy presentation box, though; but the pens themselves are beauties (although the Stresemann's binde is a bit darker grey than I was expecting). Both have translucent barrels, rather than having ink windows, like on some of my Pelikans.
Anyone know offhand what year the Striated Blue M405 was released? It's just for my inventory records, mind. I must say that while I paid a bit more than if I had gotten an M400 (with the gold trim) I'm happy I got the Rhodium plated trim instead.

Both pens have two-toned nibs (rhodium plating over the gold except for the Pelikan logo. I will try to get photos this weekend but it's getting dark out (and we're supposed to be having rain and thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow). So photos will have to wait until after the pens get a soapy rinse out.

The Stresemann has a B nib, and the Striated Blue has an EF (just to be different, and to see if an EF is less of of gusher than the F nib on my 1990s era M400 Brown Tortoise). Trying to decide what ink to put in each of them as inaugural fills.... Trying really hard to NOT put grey ink in the Stresemann... even though a part of me is going "Grey -- yeah, grey... grey would be awesome" (I don't normally match ink and pen colors). Maybe I'll do Edelstein Tanzanite in the blue one....

HEY! I've taken my M400 Brown Tortoise all over the place with no issues whatsoever. Even to the Pacific Northwest and back and have the sketches in my Ecosystems art journal to prove it! So PFFFFT! [we really need an animated smiley .gif that does Bronx cheers].

And that's a more expensive pen than either of the Café Crèmes were....

Just ordered Rotring Freeway FP with fine nib for a great price.

I have been looking for a blue pen easy enough to carry in my pocket and goes well with Navajo Turquoise ink, so pretty excited.
