What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail 2017

Also waiting for a Montblanc 146, BB nib. I received some unexpected money and I thought it was about time to treat myself to an expensive pen. I hope I won't be disappointed again by Montblanc.

It will take a while, as the seller told me that they did not have this nib in stock and would have to request it from MB. He expects to receive it within two weeks.

A Pilot Custom Heritage 74 with a music nib, and a Custom Heritage 91 with a SFM nib. I wanted a pen with a little more flair and line variation than my reliable Capless and couldn't decide which to get so went for one of each... If my wife is reading this they were incredibly inexpensive so buying both wasn't a huge indulgence.

A Ranga Zayante Acrylic with a fine nib. Its the most expensive pen I've gotten so far but the Black & Blue Swirl was so enthralling i couldn't help myself. Its should be here tomorrow if the snowstorm didn't slow dont its shipment. I think I will have to look into some more swirled pens as they are so beautiful!

Waiting on a Pilot Custom 74 in black with SF nib. I just received a Lamy 2000 with EF nib the other day, and the shape of the nib tipping has me second guessing the purchase. The nib is certainly smooth, which I really enjoy, but I feel like I'm always having to think about my hand positioning to get it to write well (I'm left handed and often switch between under-writing and over-writing). If I get used to it, I'll keep the Lamy and the Pilot (assuming I like the Pilot), but if not I'll have the Pilot to fall back on.

Aurora Optima in blue celluloid [acetate] with F nib.

Semi-vintage and modern Auroras have accelerated into a clear third place (numerically) in my collection.

A whole slew of chinese beauties, Jinhao X450 , x750, some baoer and a couple of porcelain pens. I recently recieved 5 x Hero 3048, adorable little pens bag fillers -this batch arrived from shanghai in nine days. I could not beleive it. I flushed them and filled two with ink one with noodlers brown the other with diamines Imperial purple. I have been off the fountain pen kick for awhile BUT recently retired and decided to sell some hand crafts at the saturday market and decided to put some of my chinese fountain pens out there. I have sold five of them so far -thus the new spate of orders for more. I have also been reading FPN and some controversial stuff re certain inks and my adorable chinese beauties.

My experience with non chinese pens, a shaeffer that I promptly dropped on its head and it now scratches like crazy -too bad. A cheap end Cross that writes nicely but uses little cartridges, and a Lamy safari which was sweet but I lost it at work. Anyway thought I would jump in and add what I am waiting for in the mail!

Nice!

I have a medium nib. Great and smooth for note taking, but a tad wide for mark ups. Thinkng about getting it ground to medium fine.

Dream, take one step at a time and achieve. :)

Just pulled the trigger on a new (or maybe NOS) Bexley Prometheus in Mandarin Yellow c/c with a fine nib.

Life is good.

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

My family of Pilot pens is about to be blessed with issue... A black/rhodium SF Falcon, from Goulet, which *might* arrive tomorrow, and a Custom 91, black/rhodium SF, which is on a slow boat from Japan and will get here at some point.

There's a huge variety of pens here!

Having just received a Lamy Al-Star Pacific Blue for use with my Arctic Blue ink - epic combination - I'm now waiting for an MB 22, which I found on ebay with a minor typo and thus managed to collect at a decent price. Looks real... I'll be able to tell when it arrives! I'm usually a 'F' nib user - the MB is my first foray into the world of OBB. As a leftie, I read that they're fantastic - looking forward to trying it out...

Waiting on an "updated" Bexley Prometheus in Mottled Raspberry Red and Black Hard rubber with Black acrylic with gold plated clip and trim and fine nib. I have three other Bexleys and they are solid pens. The red and black Ebonics was too much to resist.

My NOS Montblanc 146R (bordeaux) just arrived, and it looks like it left the factory only yesterday.

I just purchased a TWSBI Mini AL in Blue. I needed another inexpensive piston filler for my travels. I am trying to only take 2-3 piston fillers rather than c/c pens. We shall see how this works out on my upcoming trip.
