Yes it should go through since this link is to Roaring Springs Paper Co in the USA.

The initial sample offer was through Whitelines Sweden.

Roaring Springs product introduction is via this this link:

http://rspaperproducts.com/whitelines/#whitelines-sample-request

this is the bleed through test on the new Whitelines from Roaring Springs

https://www.flickr.com/photos/historylivesinbuttons/31609407071/in/dateposted-public/

Using a variety of nibs, inks, even paint pens, zero feathering/bleed through, and a competitive smooth surface to the best papers we fountain pen users favor.

I'd like to see Whitelines included in ink tests since its unique qualities now meet the high bar we set. Having Roaring Springs understand and gear up for "our wide community" is why I'm being persistent here. It's a nice product.

Edited to add: do take a look at the bleed through photo. You understand the shadow you are seeing is the broadest metallic paint Sharpie available with zero bleed through. You can barely see the shadow of fountain pen examples, which means this paper, unlike many other fountain pen friendly papers, can be used on both sides. If the producers of Lechturn journals also choose to make their Whiteline version again, and widely available this a a great advantage - will be my next journal.

Roaring Springs I understand is a major supplier to school bookstores, and has indicated they plan to become available in brick and mortar.

I ordered samples of the paper per your suggestion and I think the paper performs pretty good.

I then took the next step and made an inquiry about an account with Roaring Springs. The news was not what I had hoped for. The "buy in" is too large for my company at this point. I wish I was able to bring this product into my web store and make it available it to the community. Maybe one of the larger players in the market will be able to do this.

Glad you pursued this Dave, (bookmarked your shop too :-) I gather they're a large supplier to to academic brick & mortars.

In early contact with them they seemed unaware of "this" market. So in fairness, since this product is Very new to them, they need to understand what they have is very pen friendly with waiting customers.

If your time allows, perhaps approach them again? Pen community folks do support small and family businesses, spreading our purchases throughout.

Perhaps an arrangement to rep samples at pen shows?

Thanks Dave!

They are definitely a supplier to larger stores. But most of their products do not appear to be FP friendly.

I am trying to think of a way to get them to accommodate us. I will follow up with them next week.

Please do. When I emailed Anne asking where I could find them, all I got was a useless response that they are not yet available in the U.S.

Uh...yeah. I'd noticed. :wallbash:

Good news Dave!

My customer related inquires have all been very pleasant. I'm familiar with the earlier SE product, observing from initial testing this new-current product is an improved real contender for Our purposes. This very new (to GP's comment below) product launch needs in-the-business personal perspective. Where Dave and others will move this forward. :-)

Five years from now I hope Whitelines is daily on my desk, not in wistful "great products of the past" discussions like Parker Penman etc.

BTW, another hint to them would be:

(I did not buy a new planner this year in hope this would become available too-maybe next year!)

Leuchtturm1917 also comes with Whitelines paper.

I also requested and received a sample pack, and have to say that the sketch book paper ranks with the best fountain pen papers I've ever used (and I've used quite a few). If the pricing and availability are reasonable I will definitely be stocking up.

Will they have a supply for you to bring to the upcoming pen shows, like Chicago, Ohio?

The paper is super nice, so getting it in the ink covered hands of our pen community is worth their effort, and why I hope they made the decision to work with and support a small business. (YaY!).

So every one here should order the 3 free full sized samples from Roaring Springs,

http://rspaperproducts.com/whitelines/#whitelines-sample-request

so you know why Dave GP EC and myself are excited about this paper!

I would most likely take a few of the 9x12 sketch pads, depending on price.

Incidentally, is the paper used in these pads available loose?

EC, pricing should be reasonable. Check your PM for pricing.

The only loose paper at this point is lined paper.

I got my generous samples and like them. No bleed through with 11 different inks. Depending on the price, I would use it.

Has anyone used it for what it is supposed to be used for? i.e. Getting the app and holding your smart phone over the paper and it automatically captures the image and becomes formatted? I may be using wrong terminology here. I am less than computer savy and I don't own the phone.

Looking for a black SJ Transitional Esterbrook Pen. (It's smaller than an sj)

Pricing should be reasonable. I hope to have the product in hand and on my website soon.

I experimented with the app and not sure how much I will use it. It is designed to remove the gray formatting when you take a picture of it. Then you can email it, send it to Evernote or send it to Dropbox automatically based upon the box you checked on the form. I do not use Evernote or Dropbox so I cannot confirm that part works. But the app does remove the gray formatting. It leaves a plain white page in the picture.

I am not sure what others in this community will use the app for.

But the paper itself is another choice that is fountain pen friendly. And I do like the white lines.

I discussed the app, as part of the whole Whitelines System, here.

Thanks - just tried to get the samples and it looks like it took my request.

I received the three pads of paper on the 9th - really fast service and a very nice "sample" of the paper.
