I can see why people like to collect the Safari, the colors are interesting.

That Pacifica one looks great. Does anyone know when these actually hit the streets?

Dammit.

Just when I say "Girl! NO MORE LAMYS!! Enough already" they do this. Do I want both? Of course.

I write with Lamys every day. I was an Al-Star fan mostly, but the Safari has wormed its way into my heart as fave because I won't dent it. Only the nibs seem a bit rough these days. But I just love writing with them.

If you google the Al-Star 2017 colour on Amazon Japan, you will see it appears a bit darker than in the OP. I think it will look very good and will probably wait to get my first Al-Star until these come out, since I've been looking for a nice colour with chrome nib (not a fan of the standard colours that come with that nib).

I will get both.

Petrol is a weird name for an ink (don´t you think the same?) used by some companies for that shade of ??? (name it).

For example, the ink Petrol by DeAtramentis is just this same colour, so the match will be perfect.

I will get mine from LCdC, of course, since they offer these pens with gold nibs, I mean the new BLACK gold nibs or the usual chromed-and-yellow gold nibs.

I'll definitely get a Petrol Safari. I think it will pair nicely with my Dark Lilac. I wonder if they'll having a matching ink as well?

My thoughts exactly!

If you are reffering to this one...

This is the Lamy AL-Star "oceanblue" from 2009. Still in production.

The new color for 2017 is supposed to be much lighter. More on the azur- or cyan-side.

This is a simple Lamy Safari blue.

According to our wholesaler AL-star should be released in February and Safari in April - at least here in Scandinavia.
