Hi all.
I've discovered lots of modern Conway Stewart for sale on this website, www.retail-world.net. I really like the Winston Lapis Blue and I was thinking on ordering (it's offered here: http://www.retail-world.net/conway-stewart-the-winston-pen.html).
Does anyone have experience on this website?
Thanks for the information!
João.

If it sounds too good to be true, ...

Retail World Ltd. looks like the start of a huge scam. You can find information on them in the Companies House registry. If you look at the filing history, you will note that the company has been around for about 8 years (with changes of names and addresses). But it doesn't look like it's been doing much, and this website appears to have come out of the blue. The website itself actually tells one next to nothing about the company.

Their capital is 100 pounds (about 1/4 of a CS Churchill) and their last tax statement shows that they have around 190 pounds in the bank, 1 pound = US$1.25. Still, that is better than, say, 2012, when they had capital of 1 pound and 125 pounds in the bank. Not very inspiring.

Thank you very much. You've made great research. The dream is over (kkkk). I'll keep waiting to find one Lapis Blue on Ebay or on classifieds. Or perhaps I'll pick up from another color on Bespoke British Pens.

Thanks again.

Also interesting how many companies are run out of Suite 1A of the Shire Business Park:

That place must be a hive of business activity!

I'm sure they are not a scam! They used to buy direct from CS before the factory closed but haven't changed their website for years. Don't think they held any stock, just ordered from the factory each time they got an order.

They have ordered a couple of pens from BBP when they get orders for CS pens, but of course, most of the pens shown on their site are no longer available.

I thought they had removed all the details ages ago, but clearly they haven't!

If you want to see all the current CS stock available then go to the BBP website.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish between a scam and an honest business whose proprietor just can't give it the time and attention it requires.
