I have bought 2 of these pens over the course of the last 8 months from xiongfu1990 eBay store. They were listed as: HOT! HUA HONG Famous Style 22KGP Nib Iridium Fountain Pens.HH-8. I bought these pens following a suggestion found in a post by Bobje, who is currently Moderator of the China Far East Asia FPN sub-forum.

At present I cannot track these pens down on eBay. Sorry I could not help more.

Ranger, that's one of the issues with Hua Hong pens -- we've only found one distributor, xiongfu1990 on eBay, and they emerge only a couple per week.

I would like a Hua Hong too at some point but struggled to find one. Not too bothered though as apart from the blatantly fake 18k GP on the nibs, I agree with the writer on how smooth they are. For a pen that costs under £2 to one's door from China it is unbeatable. I did a nib convertion on one of my X750s to a Stainless Steel Bock fine nib. It writes niceky but I actually think that the Jinhao nib writes smoother on the paper. I have not taken the plunge on a Kaigelu yet as have heard criticism about them being weighty and top heavy. I will stick to my Jinhao workhorses I think.

Only pen from China that has been a disappointment was a "rare" 1990s black Wing Sung 590. It stank: a kind of mildewy smell and the gold finish was poor. It writes ok though and it was only a few quid. Pens have definitely come a long way there if that was the norm 20 years ago.

i remember when isellpens.com (no affiliation) use to sell Dukes, Hua Hong, Dinuoyang, Haolilai, Fuliwen (forgive me if i misspelled any names)... they are now soooo hard to find. i'm glad i was able to acquire some of these back when. i even bought Hero's with 10, 12 or 14k nibs that i would say are semi-flex (even tho some might call them just "springy"). i don't think Todd's site is up anymore. oh, the good old days!
