its premium because of the colors and they are imported rods...

Good nib, well balanced pen, but don't like the matte finish, the premium ebonite is not free from pits. This pen scores 6 out of 10.

 

I always recommend the premium ebonite with polished finish...

Sad to hear about your unliking for the matt finish...

My ebomite pens have a few tiny blemishes. It's the nature of hand production. I must say all those pens look lovely. I look forward to getting mine.

 

blemishes are because of the nature of the rods... not error of pen turner...

That sort of looks like terracotta or red clay...gorgeous pen!

It's the Solid cherry red - a bit redder in real life, but a little warmer / browner than I thought it would be. Very happy with it, though - and like the "roughness" of the bakul finish!

Being in the USA in Colorado, I am about as far away from India as you can get - I am going to have to be patient But it is a beautiful sunny day and I have a nice view of snow covered mountains out my window. And I have other pens to use, so life is very good.
