The Schmidt K5 is a standard international converter which the Waterman converter is not, quite, so I do not expect so. I do not own either of those pens.

The problem you may face is the possible small diameter of the nib unit (front section) where the converter seats. The Waterman converter is slightly slimmer overall than the Schmidt, even though both are suitable for pens that take standard cartridges. Therefore, if a Waterman converter is a snug fit in the front section of your pen then a Schmidt one may not go in at all.

I only have 2 Waterman pens here: a Carene and a L'Etalon. A Schmidt K5 works fine in the Carene, but gets stuck inside the barrel of the L'Etalon (although it fits the nib unit perfectly). Your fuel efficiency figures may differ from mine.

If Waterman converters are made by Schmidt, then I assume they will fit without any problems.

I tend to have the older Waterman version with the metal screw thread on there, in my Phileas pens and a Man 200 that I have at the moment.

My LeMan 100 only takes the Waterman metal threaded converter, not the Waterman black plastic connecting bit converter, so not every waterman takes any waterman converter, much less a Schmidt... Royal pain in the behind.

This is the converter my Phileas has as well. I bought it in late 2012, but the box and paperwork are dated several years prior to that. It was NOS.
