Can I Fit A Ballpoint Refill In A Rollerball Meisterstück Classique?

Hey guys.

I have done some research and apparently some people find a way to fit standard ballpoint refills in standard rollerball pens.

Apparently it involved using an adapter at the end of the ballpoint refill, but Im not sure if that worked for every pen.

So before I go on the quest to find one of these adapters which seem to have vanished from earth, I would like to know from you experienced folks if it will fit in my pens.

I have a starwalker rollerball and a meisterstuck classique. They both share the same rollerballs and fineliners refills. I wish I could go ballpoint with them.

Thanks!

All kinds of combos can be achieved, it's probably in threads on here if they are doable.

It's expensive to mess this up though, refills are a tad pricey if they are a waste of time

If it's a distinct RB pen then you may be up the creek. The notches may not align up with many, if any, other brands.

Just thinking.... I constantly throw RB and gel refills into BP pens... but have never used anything but MB in MB products (they are really good to me.)

I have a MB classic rollerball. i think the MB rollerball refills are too fine pt and scratchy. Expensive and don't last long. I cut a bp spring in half. Dropped it into the barrel. Put in a TUL cartridge. Works great and now a much better writing pen.

TUL?

Montblanc BP refills aren't the same as their RB refills so they aren't interchangeable.

If you have a Montblanc Classic sized RB it definitely won't take a Montblanc BP refill.

Montblanc BP's can be found for reasonable prices on ebay, maybe you should look at buying one, then if you decide you don't want your RB maybe you could sell that on ebay to get back the money you spent. :)

Just an update for anyone else in the future that might have the same concern as I did:

As stated in other ancient buried threads, getting the montblanc ballpoint adapter did the trick.

I have tested it with my meisterstuck classique rollerball and with my starwalker rollerball. With the starwalker it worked flawlessly in every way.

With the meisterstuck though the adapter ends up getting stuck at the rear of the barrel and it is not easy to get it back if I want to use the rollerball again. Other than that, writing experience was the same as the starwalker and the cartridge does not stick out or stay loose.

I'm calling this a success :)

I bought way more than the standard FPN survival kit of a MB pen, MB rollerball, MB mechanical pencil and 20 MP fountain pens, so I have other RBs and mix and match with them.
