De Atramentis Sparkly - Columbia Blue/bronze

Sailor Kenshin

Recommended Posts

I've been given the opportunity to test some of Dr. J's De Atramentis Sparkly inks, so thanks to all who made this possible! (Wish my photo skills were more advanced...)

This is the Columbia Blue series, and I first tested the Bronze phase. The ink loads easily, but as I haven't cleaned the pen I don't know if it cleans easily as well. It did leave some staining on the white body of the Hero-Fari I used to test it. It flows well, too. Ink is dark enough so that it's no eyestrain to read, which makes the sparkle more apparent. And you can see that the sparkling element shows better in the pen than in the swab.

Here are the photos.

Copper, Gold and Silver reviews in the works. I've enjoyed the DA inks in my collection. These Sparkly models will be fun!

PS: This WILL stain your fingers...as I just found out. ;)

Looks really lovely! Any further staining issues with the pen? (I have gone around with stained fingers enough to be OK with that  )

Thanks...the fingers are fine, but the pen...

Oh, well. As I said, five bucks. The other sparkly CB variants were just completed, and will be posted soon.

Great review, thank you!
